What pen(s) are you using today?

No surprises from me today... It's the Bejing Jin Xing 28 that's now loaded with Diamine Sherwood Green.

And the Parker 25 filled with Pelikan 4001 Bl/Bk

I did say I was going to fill my Parker Sonnet today.... I lied....It's a Parker 75.... and I can't find the converter. and I haven't any (usable) cartridges. 🙁 I did manage to clean the Parker 75 as there was still ink sitting the the feed 😮🙁 Surprisingly, the BP refill in the matching pen worked like I had used it yesterday, instead of I don't recall 30 odd years ago.....So, why do I have loads of BP's that refuse to 'start' that are much younger?

Even though I'm a grown man but would be thrilled if someone offered me a 'Tux' stuffie!

...

These were my mascots back when I taught some Linux (penguin) and Perl programming (camel) classes. They now keep my mother company when she sleeps :)

Wonderful @jandrew

Thank you for sharing this. I have a special affinity with 'tux' and Linux, (LMDE5) but beware... @Penguincollector  may explode when she sees your post...10, 9, 8...!

Cheers, P.I.Tom

That’s an adorable goose, @Pale.Ink.Tom! Have you played the Goose game yet? A kea stuffie would be so cute!

Is this the board game called "The Game of Goose"?  I have!  A couple of times years ago at SCA events, and then the first time we went to Colonial Williamsburg, and signed up for "Gambols" (basically having dinner at one of the inns, and then people in costume came around and talked to the guests and performed stuff (we were very sad that they didn't know "Barrett's Privateers" but I didn't realize that it's actually a modern song until later) and they got us and the people we were sharing a booth with to play that game.

Of course that was years ago and I don't remember the game rules any more....

@Penguincollector I'm currently searching for an 'open source' version of "untitled goose game" but so far it's been a wild goose chase!

However I do have a MacBook floating around here somewhere. I see a free beginners level for MacOS 👍

My Kawecos are almost grafted onto my fingertips these days!

It’s a video game that I played on the Nintendo Switch. I recall a board game, but I haven’t played it- not sure if there’s a connection between the two.  Your SCA event sounds fun; I was once a dancer and choreographer for an Italian Renaissance festival and worked on living chess games.

Ah, VERY different from the one I was thinking of.

I never really got into computer games; I play sudoku online, but that's to keep my mind active as much as anything.

Years ago, the company I worked for at one point took all the employees down to Atlantic City for the day as a reward for getting stuff done in a timely fashion (we put out localized phone books for various towns).  And I tried playing a video game in an arcade along the Boardwalk that was the first thing more complicated than something like "PacMan" and couldn't figure it out to save my life....

My journal pen and ink for today are a similar colour to the eye of Rock & Roll Penguin: Lamy Terra with Lamy Topaz. 🧡

Will work for pens...

Today my Sailor Pro Gear w/ Sailor Souboku Deep Blue was my choice.

Today's rotation has been an old Lamy Ratio that someone gave me a couple of weeks ago because they were going to throw it away. In trying to straighten out the oddly bent (sort of wavy?) nib, the tip of one of the tines snapped right off at the base of the tipping material. So I figured, what better time than now to learn how to grind a stub... 😁 I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, actually. Not bad for my first time!

Great job on the nib grinding.

I’m glad those two keep your Mom company. For awhile I had Hook the flat and crinkly sounding rabbit that came out of a machine with the hook to grab stuffed animals hang out with my Mom by her pillow. I don’t think it made a difference. Yours look more cuddly.

I use a GvFC Grip 2010 about every day. I’m hoping it will run out of the current ink soon. I want to go back to GvFC Violet blue.
