I just re-inked the Lamy CP1 I purchased during a holiday sale last year.  I love the design of this pen and want to like using it as well but that may not happen.  I love the minimal design, how well it fits in a journal and the lighter weight for sketching but that’s where it ends.  The barrel feels too thin, the cap back weights it when posted and the step from barrel to section hits right where I hold it.  If Lamy would just enlarge the diameter a little, add a heavier metal section and release it as their CP2, I’d be first in line to buy.  Revisionist history I guess.

I also put a Franklin Christoph medium nib in my Gravitas pocket titanium for writing and I’m totally impressed.  I just bought their standard HPSteel nib and it is SO smooth and wet.  Just glides over the pages.  This is my first FC nib and I’m really enjoying the experience.

Today it's been the Lilac al-Star, M nib that came in the mail a couple of days ago, with one of the ink samples in the order -- Papier Plume Bayou Nightfall; and the Hudson Bay Fathom Noodler's Konrad, flex nib, with slightly diluted Noodler's 54th Massachusetts.

This week at work I'm using a Sailor 1911 Realo in transparent dark green, medium nib, inked with Sailor Sailor. This is a delightful, practical pen, with just the right amount of feedback.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

I’m still slowly working my way through the penguin pen micro collection I inked for last Sunday’s pen club meeting. Today’s pen is a nonami clear plastic with an orange background and a penguin face that says “stay with me” on the barrel  (reminds me of that Shakespear’s Sister song from 1992). The feed is orang, the nib is very EF. It’s inked with a blue 3.4mm bore cartridge and has a tintenkiller on the other end.

Top 5 of 25 currently inked pens:

MontBlanc 144 IB, Herbin Orange Indien/ Wearingeul Frost

Waterman’s 52V red ripple ring top, Herbin Vert de Gris

Parker 88 Place Vendôme IB, Diamine Golden Sands

Parker “51” Desk pen EF, Sailor Manyo Konagi

Yiren Giraffe IEF, Pilot Yama-Guri/sky blue holographic mica

always looking for penguin fountain pens and stationery

Love the artwork!

Today (so far) it's been the Pink Parker Vector (F nib) with Van Dieman's Moonflower; and the Hudson's Bay Fathom Konrad (flex nib) with slightly diluted Noodler's 54th Massachusetts.

Congratulations,

It's a great color - mo, of courser.

Looks really nice. How does it write?

Oh yes, what's the brand and nib size?

kalieglu Long Knife?

penbbs caligraphy?

No sé si es una idiotez lo que pretendo hacer o puede que funcione, no obstante, recomendáis algún plumín similar que os haya dado buen resultado????

Gracias a todos.

Good morning everyone from Spain.

I don't know if what I'm trying to do is stupid or if it might work, however, do you recommend a similar nib that has given you good results????

Thank you all.

It's a very dramatic color. 🙂  I like it a lot, but I'm only going to dip it for the time being.
