  Today I inked a Jinhao 51a in burgundy- it’s the last unused pen in a 3 pack that I bought awhile back. I also practiced with the x450/G nib,  my handwriting is improving, but it still looks terribad compared to my regular fp and dip pen hand.  
 

 I just inked my lil’ Sailor Chalana for the first time. I used yama-budo in that tiny little pull converter. This nib feels different from other Sailor pens that I’ve tried- no feedback at all. It’s a beautiful, light, little writer. I’m smitten.

The pattern is known as 'Pearl and Black'. It's one of my favourites among the Duofold family.

Oh thank you for the ink brand and name. Does it shade?  I thought it did, but if it’s watered down, I’m not sure how that affects an ink.

I thought the same thing. At first glimpse, my kneejerk reaction was someone had drawn on the pen with a tech-marker, re the line that looks like they had tried to trace around the clip. LOL 

But, very nice looking. Artsy, even!

So far today (and it's still early) it's been the Sterling Ciselé Parker 75, B nib, with MB Great Characters Jimi Hendrix LE, and the White and Red Lamy Safari, B nib, with Lamy Crystal Azurite.  Both ink bottles were from the shopping expedition I had after Christmas last month, while visiting my sister-in-law and her husband in NYC.

No, the 1.1 cost me the princely sum of 43p (about 50c) extra. Which didn't really worry me as the pen itself was only $3 to start with. I got a couple more of the new translucent colours - the pink and green, which I've mix/matched, and I rather like the result.

Sorry, no pix.  I haven't quite figured out how to do photo albums on here yet with the new software and server.  And the 75 was just recently repaired (it had been leaking from the collar).  I'm very behind on taking photos for inventory purposes in general, and also really far behind in doing ink testing (partly because this fall and winter has been so gloomy, and I also tend to (for photos of pens) do better on my front porch when it's a bright sunny day, since I'm having to use the camera on my phone.

Plus, it's been a really stressful week, what with us still coming to terms with the fact that a good friend we've know and camped with for several decades is no longer with us.

And of course after making fun of AmberleaDavis for NOT bringing enough ink with her on her wonderful-sounding trip to Hawaii, I discovered to my chagrin , that I seem to have NOT gotten the inks that I meant to bring as refills for those two pens, plus for a third pen I meant to ink up when I had a chance, into the suitcase, my knitting basket, my computer bag, or (apparently) even in the car....   I had to finish up this morning's journal entry with the Safari because the 75 ran out of ink....  And I also seem to have gotten out of the house with the small nalgene bottle full of distilled water that I've been using to re-hydrate the 4th pen (a Noodler's Konrad -- one of the old vegetal resin ones -- with 54th Massachusetts in it, which is getting a bit cloggy).
