What pen(s) are you using today?

Thursday was the red Optima, Friday the yellow one and last night the plain green resin one plus my M605 BT.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Sorry to hear that ... perhaps a new pen would help you build your strength 🙃

I have been using a sharp semi stiff dip ink tip most often. Whetstones and micro mesh pads are used to smooth the edge of the stainless steel ink plates.

Very interesting looking nib, and very lovely writing.

There is something about that design, along with the sleeve that really works for me.

I hadn’t seen that pen, and looked up a picture-very attractive.  Is is Classic Green material in the barrel and cap? Thank you.

Yes it is.  As the website says, it was one of their top selling colours for decades. CORRECTION: No.  Classic Green and  Bracket Green are very, very similar, but not the same.  Bracket Green as a wee bit more what I would call 'sparkle' to it.  At least my pen does.

Green is my favourite colour so, it was a natural choice for me.  I will add it goes well with my JCW Rebel Green Mini too.

Yeah, I was the same way --- I saw a question about it on reddit, looked up the pen, tried to find third party info/reviews (almost nothing out there) and took a chance anyway.

The only con I have about it is that the snap cap engages pretty firmly, and removing the cap takes more force than one would expect (not helped by how small the cap is). I've gotten used to it, and I also only partially cap it when pausing in use (it actually seals well partially capped).

Today it's been the Silver Pearl Vac Major (one of the pens that I had repaired at the Ohio Pen Show over the weekend), F nib, with Waterman Tender Purple; and the Noodler's Poseidon Pearl Konrad, flex nib, with Noodler's 54th Massachusetts.

Today it's been the Rage Red Parker 45, M nib, still with vintage Quink Permanent Blue Black; and the Poseidon Pearl Noodler's Konrad, flex nib, with Noodler's 54th Massachusetts (pretty sure it was dark enough for the scanner to pick up how I voted on the paper ballot B), even though one of the poll workers handed me a BP...).

What is that lovely dip pen? It looks really quite distinctive and I want one, though I'm not sure I could get results like yours with it.

Too many pens, too little time!

Last night was my 2 PG Slims, one with Miruai and the other with KWZ Maroon which seemed somewhat Xmas-y.

I received this pen yesterday. I'm on a fourth ink. This is my first experience with Leonardo's gold nibs made in-house. This nib is a stub. It is extremely juicy, and I have been trying different inks to see if I could find one that was dry enough.  At present, I have the pen inked with Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Brown, and that is the best yet.

The ebonite feed is probably still getting saturated. So far, the nib has super-high flow for the first few lines of writing after a rest. Then it gradually settles down a bit.

The nib is nominally 1.4mm and writes a line that is at least 1.0mm wide. That's just a bit wider than the maximum of my preference for everyday writing. I may end up having a nib technician regrind the nib and adjust the flow for me. I'll give it a few more days of testing.

Otherwise, it's a lovely pen.

I'm trying to finish the cartridge in my turquoise Levenger True Writer (Levenger teal ink). I also need to finish the cartridge in my BRG Lamy Studio (Lamy orange ink). Also inked right now: Opus 88 Omar clear demonstrator (Diamine Stargazer); Sailor Wicked Witch of the West (Bungbox Ink of the Witch); Lamy Studio in dark brown (Vinta Ink Blue blood); and a Darailpenz pen, out of Columbus OH (Iroshizuku Kon peki). The latter two pens were purchases from the Ohio Pen Show, and had to be inked with the first bottles I could get my hands on!
