Saturday night and again last night I used my M405 Stresemann with Stipula Fading Grey.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Lamy Safari (French Blue, F nib) -- just inked up with Diamine Scribble Purple (which is so saturated it looks black!); and Cross Solo (Red, F nib) -- with Birmingham Pens Herr's Island Ultramarine (which I bought from a friend's estate a few years ago).

The paper is thinner than Kokoyo 64gsm paper and thicker than Tomoe River 52gsm.

Kokuyo was misspelled.  Didn't notice it until today.

Beautiful. And appropriate. With what ink and paper are you honoring that fine pen?

Today it was the Sailor Pro Gear Slim Purple Cosmos, zoom nib, with Sailor Jentle Sky High (old formula); the French Blue Lamy Safari, F nib, with Diamine Scribble Purple; and the Noodler's Poseidon's Pearl Konrad, flex nib, with Noodler's 54th Massachusetts.

A few years ago I was swimming the coast and saw something nearby that looked like an upside-down rowboat.  At first I thought it might be a dead whale.  I could tell it was neither shark nor dolphin, and it was as large as a VW Beetle.

I swam into shore, then ventured back out.  Later speaking to hotel staff a surfer mentioned it could be a sea turtle.  Looked up some videos on YouTube, and though I can't find the exact one, I was able to find something like this:

Which confirmed that I had, in fact, been 10 m from an oversized version of one of these creatures.

Your drawing, though not a leatherback, reminds me of all this.  Well done!

Ever seen the inside of a Leatherback's mouth?

Now aren't ya glad you didn't swim over & give him a little kiss? 😱

If I said I'll fix it, I will. There's no need to remind me every 6 months.

No, I managed to avoid seeing the inside, but this may now be permanently etched on my brain.😮

I'm giving the Onotos a rest today, so the pen of the day is a Bracket Green, broad nib Conway Stewart Churchill.

I have been using a sharp semi stiff dip ink tip most often. Whetstones and micro mesh pads are used to smooth the edge of the stainless steel ink plates.

I hadn’t seen that pen, and looked up a picture-very attractive.  Is is Classic Green material in the barrel and cap? Thank you.
