Exactly like my Diplomat but for the nib, my nib is a bit bigger. Especially the clip.

Just now inked the Diplomat with Lamy Crystal ink Azurite, a purplish ink...Crayol Purple....Wiki Purple is wrong.

The way I grasp a pen, with the forefinger up method, means I have to post the pen, and it is heavy posted, having to rest in or just above the pit of the web of the thumb.

Much like this, though the 600 is a much lighter pen.

Moving the thumb down past the crease in the forefinger's first joint, raises the pen.

Excellent and exciting plans! You clearly thought miles ahead. I can't wait to see the pictures, enjoy vicariously.

This is a thorny problem. You could start by engaging the pen holder in a discussion about the current situation. Slowly and gently, bring the pen holder to see how other pen holders do things, maybe even show it five, six, or even eight pens to get it used to the magnitude of the problem. Listen to the pen holder carefully and actually listen; most importantly, don't judge! As the pen holder learns about itselft and its role in the larger world, I'm sure you will see the pen holder warming up to the idea. Maybe you could think together about an approach where the pen holder takes different responsibilities, such as bringing the EDCs to work. 😄😉

It is nice to see such wisdom and gentleness offered on this forum.

Thank you.

Don't you 'hate' it when pictures or folks convince you to jump a pen from middle of the pack numbers to next.

Like my brier Diplomat. That springy regular flex...(from my reading all regular flex are a bit more springy than Japanese soft.) The pen/nib writes well, I just have to adjust to a bit heavier pen, than I'm use too.

Thanks folks!!!:D

@Inkvisible, this is an amazing trio. Love the colors. Also, you swapped in a Pelikan M200 nib. And the inks are also great. Thank you for sharing.

That purple Pelikan 200, I don't know.

@OldTravelingShoe, thank you for your kind response!

@Bo Bo Olson I’d does look very unPelikanlike.  Last year I got some m200 nibs from Cult Pens

when they were $10. They’re twice that now.  I knocked them out of their collars and put them on the Majohn (Moonman) S1 feeds.  I like the pretty acrylic, and prefer the generous Pelikan B

nib.

I use to really rave about the 200's nibs when they were the springy  classic tear drop tipped, that gave such a nice clean line.....not any more since they went into double ball some 4-5 years ago.

Bo Bo,

That was in a galaxy far, far away... and a while ago too.

Isn't it interesting that as more people are buying and using fountain pen and many are exploring/using pens with some degree of flexibility, that Pelikan, formerly a large provider of nibs (with some degree of flex) has stopped providing them. In retrospect, that has come back to lose them some market share, I suspect.

Beautiful pens. I love the Sailor with the Winter Miracle - lovely pairing!  Also how did you get the Pelikan nib in the Majong pen?

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

@amberleadavis, I thought people might be gasping at my desecration of the Pelikan nib.

Like you, I am always trying to get my pens to lay down more color.  I think the Pelikan nib might fit into an eye-droppered Kaweco Sport with its original Pelikan feed. This might work even better.  I may try that next, although the BB Kaweco nib is nice.

Thanks for reminding me how much I love Winter Miracle!

I recently purchased an 1970's Montblanc 146 online which arrived safely some days ago.  It has been inspected, disassembled, pampered and 'spa bathed', etc.

My attention then turned to 6 additional, complimentary, pens thrown in.

(described as 'parts' by this very generous seller).

Today I rinsed and inked up a free Sheaffer, Triumph 440XG (Aust. made) and a Parker 51, both in very good condition.

Sheaffer Balance reissue, black  I inked it last week, with the noble intention of using it for just one week before sticking it back in my pen case not to be picked up for the next two years, but I like it so much that I decided to use it for two weeks in a row.  Fabulous writer, particularly with Vintage Sheaffer Skrip Washable Black.

I second this. Inked with Diamine Pumpkin it does wonders in my daily kit!
