Haha, we share a pen! Mine is inked with Lamy Turquoise. Like the pen very much.

The Vista was my first "real" fountain pen. It's always been a favorite. Silky smooth F.

If one uses 90g paper, Lamy Turquoise, the once standard of turquoise does shade.

@ 15 years ago, Lamy Turquoise was the third ink I bought, and it was ok, but sort of blaaaaaa.

Then I looked in ink reviews and found out about shading for the first time. There had been two threads and both used 90g paper and both times it shaded.

Luckily I had a small oxford optic 90g school booklet and it shaded..........and I lost my marbles and have been chasing shading inks ever since.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

Today, so far, it's been the Pilot Falcon (purple, soft F nib) with Sailor Souboku, and one of the Cross Solos (red, F nib) with Birmingham Pens Herr's Island Ultramarine.

Love that green.

I have that pen, and have always thought the faint translucency at the edge of the cap was much like the translucency of real jade.

Started the day with my vintage Waterman's Dauntless lever fill.

Don't know yet if I'll change to a different pen this afternoon.

I only have five pens, and I use them all every day. At work for notes and at home for letter writing and journaling.

  • Sailor PG KOP "M"
  • Montblanc 149 "M"
  • Pilot Custom Urushi "FM"
  • Pelikan M1000 "F"
  • Platinum Prefounte "M"

I use Waterman blue in all of them except for the Platinum. I use Carbon black in it for writing on envelopes.

@jandrewI stole your Schrödinger's wife joke.  Thank you.  Now people think I'm funny. ;)

I claim no originality ... I picked it up ages ago myself.

What have you done with the cat? It looks half dead.
