I see that a couple of people bought the Monteverde Strata in black with the Omniflex nib for $5.74. This is the standard Jowo #6 extra-flex.  I've been buying these when they become available for several months. I'm not a big fan of the Strata, too heavy, but I love the nibs & swap them into a variety of pens that use Jowo nib units.  I keep the converters & nib units & throw the pens away.  The $5.74 deal is available at the moment:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CVNQ1BBB

If it has disappeared by the time you look, just set a price watch on camelcamelcamel.com.  At one time the blue was also at that price.  I ordered 2 on back order and eventually the order was cancelled by Amazon because the pen was no longer available.  Two days later it was back at $37.  I contacted Amazon and asked them to honor the $5.74 price.  Instead they gave me a credit for the difference in price on the two & I was able to use that credit to buy a dozen of the black.  My strangest Amazon transaction ever.

Thanks for the heads up and the link.

Just bought three black pens - $17.00+ total.

One for me to play with and two to PIF with.

When I clicked on the red and the blue ones the price magically appeared at $35.00!

Guess I will go with black for now.

Thank you again...

What a deal. I got one for the nib as well.

Today I’m writing with a Santini Crane ebonite pen with a #8 cursive italic nib. The material is swirls of gray, red, and brown that are seen in the plumage of some cranes (Sandhill?).  I’ve really enjoyed their cursive italic nibs, and this is no exception.

I recently received a gold-nib Wing Sung 699, so I've been putting that through its paces. The nib's feedback feels a lot like the MF on my Sailor Pro Gear.

MF as in medium-fine?

last week friend meant "if" but typed in "af" and i read it as the latter in full...

what a world

Yes, Medium-Fine. No Samuel L. Jackson quotes  here.

Pelikan M205, Diamine Oxford Blue.  Swapped the broad nib for a fine, money well spent.

I am pleased to see that.

Must add my laugh of the week came reading it the other way, it certainly fits for lots of my pens...

"MF", apart from pertaining to fountain pen nibs, is a term in international relations much used in the last few days.

I better free my mind instead these days...

Sailor Pro Gear, MF. (Take that however you want.) Yama-Dori. My first time around the block with a Sailor nib; I like it a lot, but the pen is a slightly awkward in-between size for me. If I were ever to go for another Sailor it’d probably be a PGS or a 1911L.

Today it's been the Harry Potter "Ravenclaw al-Star", M nib, still with Lamy Vibrant Pink (for today's journal entry); and the purple Pilot Falcon, SF nib, still with Sailor Souboku (because I had to sign some paperwork).

Tomorrow and Saturday, of course, are likely going to be something of a free-for-all usage-wise, because of being at the B/W Pen Show (yay!).  Hoping to get some pens repaired this weekend -- which means getting them inked up as well....

Is that the Van Gogh homage ink?  I just looked that one up and it's definitely an interesting color....

I've got two pens today. A Pelikan M405 Stresemann and a Parker 75 Ciselé as back up

The Pelikan is almost dry so I can continue my assigned tasks 🙂

Looks like these are still available (black) at the same price - $5.74.

I am so tempted to buy a couple of additional ones even if I just give the away at the next pen club meeting!
