What pen(s) are you using today?

Today I am using a Lamy Al-Star filled with 4001 Dark Green.  The pen started as a scratchy EF, my nib work smoothed it out but now it is more like a fine.

I know, that's why my flow chart had to do with etiquette and not illness.  Etiquette is about making other people feel comfortable, which I apparently failed to do by posting my flow chart. I will be more careful, even with multiple pens in use, in the future.

So far today it's been the pink Parker Vector, F nib, with Van Dieman's Moonflower (a very nice well-behaved medium cobalt blue).

My best guess is Leonardo will continue to use JoWo steel nibs. They are offering some pens with #8 nibs. They look to me like they are JoWo gold nibs, but I thought JoWo stopped making #8 nibs, so I am confused. As far as I know, Leonardo is not now making #8 nibs in-house. That may change in time, of course.

Today is a new (well, written with once before) Pilot Fermo, dark green, with Montblanc Lavender Purple ink. I had kept it in a pen drawer for about 6 weeks, as a sort of test about drying out. The test was too extreme, not only was the nib dry but some amount of the ink in the converter had dried out. I forced some ink up to through the feed so it is writing now. Also the converter seems to be stuck in place, probably with dried ink, so when it does write dry I'll have to soak it a bit to get the converter out and clean it up. I will then fill it again and give it a more reasonable test (two weeks instead of six). That is my usual time between uses of pens in rotation, so if it passes that test I will be reasonably satisfied. (Also I see that the ink was an oldish sample, so it may have already evaporated and thickened some. I'll try a different ink as well.)
