How to Remove No Nonsense Feed

OCArt

Recommended Posts

I've read of folks using the feed from a No Nonsense pen in other pens.  How do you remove the feed?  To me it looks like the nib and feed are molded into the nib section.  Any tips??

Somewhere Ron Zorn discussed this if memory serves correct.

certainly true that Sheaffer didn’t intend the units to be serviced beyond replacement.

I was writing this when FarmBoy put up his post.

The nibs and feeds are not molded into the section, but they can be really tight.  Wiggle the nib out first.  It will take time, and it will take a lot of effort.  Then coax the feed out.  Soak for a while to soften any dried ink - a bit of Dawn in the water won't hurt.  Rinse after the soak to get the slippery suds off.  Use a grippy pad (the rubber mesh shelf liner stuff works very well) and warming the section a bit doesn't hurt.  They're a pain to do, and you have to be patient.
