Sailor Lecoule in Teal Green

Is the Lecoule Teal Green the pen on the lower left in the photo? It looks very blue. A very nice blue.

Will work for pens...

Yes. The pen body is kinda green-blue-black, and the finials are brown.

The item got added to the list of qualifying products, only after I'd already ordered and received mine, of course. (It's since been removed from the list.)

Woah. Camera tricks. It looks so different in your other photo. (I'm having the same problem looking at the Lecoule Iron Blue - wildly different in verious pictures.)

It really looks a mid-blue to me - not nearly-black as above.

It depends on how much light falls on it: https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=lecoule+teal+green&tbm=isch

Just unboxed and not tried out at all yet - my new Ranga Abhimanyu in Solid Green Premium Ebonite and the free pen that came with it. Does anyone know what that is?

@USG Thank you for posting. I think that sounds right, a flow problem. I’m rinsing the nibs from the Amber and the Voyager. Then I’ll swap converters to see how each writes.  I know what the ink in the Amber pen should look like.

Im not sure how to fix a flow problem.

The nib from the Amber pen seems to write crisper too.

I sent an email to Fountain Pen Hospital. They replied to send back the pen, and they would replace the nib.  I hope the next nib is good. But then, I’ve bought several new Conklin pens, and this is the first nib that wasn’t great.

Picked up this pen last week already, but it's just gone into my rotation today. Thanks to a dear friend finding it at a significant discount while traveling and carrying it back for me, I now have one of the missing pieces of my Diplomat collection that I thought I would probably never get (mostly because of the price that is exhorbitant by Diplomat standards). Good to have friends looking out for me! 😀

May I present: the Diplomat Zepp in GT? And btw, this pen is huge! And much prettier than I expected from the photos.

Yeah, it’s pretty heavy. The balance is good but I think you have to have very big hands to not feel how heavy it is. It does feel a bit back-weighted in my regular writing grip because it’s so long. It’s a good centimeter longer than an Aero (uncapped) and also has a bit more girth. But holding the section further back does help. Still adjusting to it 😉 And too expensive to be an EDC anyway 😝 But it is quite a pen!

Hi Misfit, I'm glad you're getting a replacement.  🙂👍

But I'm curious.

Could you describe what the pen was doing?  What kind of flow problem did it have?  For instance, hard start, stop and start, skipping,  etc...

It would start out writing, then it got paler. When I flushed the nibs on the two new Conklin pens, and switched the inked converters to compare the writing. I don’t think the problem nib has ever written as it should. I’ll include a photo.

at left is problem nib with De Atramentis Red Brown ink. Written sideways is the same ink with the good nib. In the middle is the good nib with Diamine guitar series Cherry Sunburst. Written sideways is the problem nib with Cherry Sunburst ink.  Then top right is good nib with De A Red Brown, and problem nib with Cherry Sunburst.

Your right, everyone knows how engraving on a pen ruins its value....a whole sentence, '50th Anniversary 1927'.

Back then, it was something to mount on the wall between the elephant tusks.

That's real nice, sort of sitting at a table at a plaza type of light.

Actually yesterday, but I didn’t get around to posting yesterday.

This is a Cult Pens exclusive Apple Green Kaweco Sport Skyline with a 1.1mm stub nib. It writes with great line variation. Great little pen. 💚

I post on this thread on the day I ink a new pen.  And today, I filled a stub Pilot Décimo in myca gray with Pilot Blue-Black.  I really like the nib, which is soft and will spread under pressure.  But the length of the button stroke and the strength of the spring are details I didn't remember annoying me when I had a matte black faceted Capless.
