Pro tip : Don't buy irrational quantities of ink especially if you write once a week at best (unless you are into offering ink as inheritance )

I know. I have yet to finish any Iroshizuku (my preferred ink) 50 ml ink bottle even after more than 5 years. I finished a few small ones.

I feel so much better - I'm only wait for five I ordered, plus one that's being sent as a gift.

I was considering three more, then someone here talked good sense so I didn't. :D

Will work for pens...

Smug abandoned that thought so long ago that the stash under the spare bed now has spare bed requiring stilts. :)

I wish someone could and would talk some good sense into me. Not even my credit card statements do that.

🫙 @A Smug Dill

I am Mr. Ink Bottle.  Are you on a quest for certain inks?  Is that why you buy more?  Are you an ink collector?  Do you use your inks?  Do you wish I’d go away?  I am here to make you only like empty ink bottles.  🫙

Tip is pro but I'm not, I'm guilty of having no estimation how much ink is consumed roughly and also guilty of using EF nibs.

Maybe I should as well in future because I thought at first "what's the point of using fountain pen if will stick to dull colours black/red/blue?" , maybe should shop for some blacks :)

Trying to keep it healthy on my own , wish it was like perfume or wine when it comes to aging though :)

To think as a noobie, I thought a dozen pens and ten inks would be more than enough.:lticaptd:

After days of waiting, finally new pen arrived. 🎉
It's a Graf Von Faber Castell Guilloche Black Edition with EF nib.

Actually Guilloche series were off radar for me due to price level but I don't know why there was an "awkward" price of $140 for this one at Amazon (retail is over $350, maybe because it's EF? ) , I was skeptical despite seller is Amazon Germany but long story short it arrived today.

Overall it's an amazing pen especially at this price but tbh I'm slightly disappointed at finish of resin barrel, I'd prefer it to be matte ( maybe it's due to coating ) and somehow resin of Ambition Opart feels more luxury to me. Other than that , rest is exceptional imo.

New Pen Day. 🙂

I hope you enjoy it! 😄

Meanwhile, this which I picked up at a sub-US$10 price (although the asking price is usually more) from AliExpress arrived all-too-quickly yesterday (in the middle of three days of Internet access grief here):

Very pretty!  Is the barrel translucent? It looks very delicate.

Will work for pens...

As I liked this nib so much, I had to buy a pen for it 🙈.

While the Delike nib unit seemed to fit into the S3 at first, the pen blobbed that way and the converter didn't sit securely (someone has green hands now, as she might have been a bit stupid 😆). However, both nibs and feeds came out very easily and so it now has the Moonman unit and just the Delike nib.

(The original Moonman nib worked well too, though I'm not 100% sure it really is an EF as ordered and not an F. It's wider than my Snorkel's EF and slightly slimmer than my Triumph's F.)

Not a purchase but a find in my own garage! Years ago when my grandmother passed many things went into boxes that then lived in the garage. While going through things i found these 3 Esterbrook pens! All still have good bladders but the special 9128 nib needs work. We have a LJ an SJ and a lever fill CX-100

Nice find!  *Especially* because it's family heirlooms.

The only thing I have that's close to that is a Sheaffer Balance Oversize that had belonged to my husband's grandfather, which, when my mother-in-law gave it to me, had the cap from HER old Eversharp Skyline jammed onto it so tight I had to take it to a pen show to find someone who could remove it with section pliers without breaking anything....  Then had to get a replacement (correct) cap for the Sheaffer and get it repaired.

Although I must say, for a pen that large, it is amazingly light in weight, and is a nice writer....
