Mine came without the converter.

The listing indicated two ink cartridges. When I looked in the box, there was one cartridge and a converter. Same seller too I think.

Maiora Alpha Costiera LE from Stilo & Stile. A smaller Alpha - the size of a M600. I like it.

Steel JoWo 1.1mm Stub nib. Seems glued in place. Not inked yet.

The first photo is a more accurate representation of the pen's color.

Two fountain pens and a leather etui, was what my wife found at a empty the house house flea market. The Faber Castell Grip Classic (rubber grip/section) goes for $24 on sale. image.png.26b686fc94067affda17b61f84f5d3ed.png

Taken from Faber Castel site, in my picture came out ...Coprolite.

The picture wouldn't allow cutting or making it lighter. The picture of the nib was also up to my normal standards.  So it's not here.

The nib was more towards regular flex......Instead of the normal nail of a Graf-von-Faber-Castel. :unsure:xu2o9Kp.jpgI knew I had a P-45, the  black one with the rolled gold cap from England.

The longer stainless steel 'flighter', also from England, that I didn't realize was also a P-45, is longer than the other French made stainless steel P-45 flighter. In all cases they have regular flex nibs, not semi-nail or nail............of what I think US nibs are.

I have no idea if the shorter p-45 Flighter has a different name than the longer?

One of the problems I have in my mind with the P-45 is I can remember when it was new, was it had a rounder end on them when they first came out.....of course I didn't use my cell phone and take a picture......didn't use my Brownie either.

Because of that roundness of the barrel end in my mind, I didn't think of the long stainless steel P-45 as a 45. I just thought of it as a Flighter.

The black and gold one has a barrel that is sleeker than the one above it.

The two English 45's have a 14K nibs, the bottom French one just gold colored. Foaiy0u.jpgXFA9znP.jpg

At a house  flea market, my wife ended up when divided out what she bought, paying €3.00 for the two pens.€1.50 each.

I don't collect Parker, having a P-51. Vac, P-75 (original One Pen, One Man for 40 years) these three  P-45's and some sort of English developed Flighter with a slightly bottle neck barrel.

My wife does keep an eye out for my addictions...even finding things I missed when looking at live Auction hall catalogs. .

In different auction catalogs, both of these whizzed past as i looked for fountain pens. ryoHjEX.jpg

A Cross Botanica purple Orchid arrived today. The listing indicated it came with two cartridges. To my happy surprise, one was a converter.

I like the Century II pens from Cross but I do dislike my Botanica. That cap ring is so badly designed. I have too keep that pen from ever touching any other pen otherwise that cap band will scratch anything.

For the Wanderlust pens that came after the Botanica, they came to their senses and made a normal cap band.

@Waltz For Zizi it is curious why Cross made the cap ring that way. The pen is kind of bling, and the cap ring is not quite there. I think it would snag fabric.

What can I say? The Amazon Germany price was good; and this time the offer was for a unit fitted with a EF nib, not a M nib (but I had to pay a few dollars more).

@A Smug Dill so long as you are happy, a few dollars more on a good deal sounds good. Any chance you will post a close up photo of the pen’s cap?

Good deal aside, that's a very handsome pen Smug. Is the finial on the cap transparent?

Will work for pens...

Is that the one with the pattern that looks almost like mosaic? …‹snip›… I have a terrible weakness for pink pens.

This came from Amazon Japan, for the first time by way of its new AmazonGlobal International Standard delivery method (by ECMS Express, at least for Australian orders) instead of AmazonGlobal International Expedited (by DHL Express). It only took a little over a week, and I think that's pretty decent delivery performance, considering the roughly halved shipping charges.

I will note, however, that it appears Amazon Japan has now removed International Expedited shipping as an option, and also increased the flagfall and incremental shipping charges using the ‘Standard’ (and only available) method — which are still a bit less than what Expedited used to cost.

That French P-45 that was 'so short', had the black plastic tassie broken off.

@A Smug Dill Thank you very much for the photos. I’m glad you were able to get the pen at a good price. It looks like a great pen to look at and use.
