An impressive selection however it happened, there are some very attractive pens there.

Ahem, I may or may not have just ordered another sixteen Profuture Lab FP0029 fountain pens, having discovered how I could get them at half the (already low) effective price per unit I paid for the previous batches.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

It was tracking for May 1, but arrived today. That made up for another package that was supposed to arrive today, but didn’t.

The pen is a discontinued Pilot Pluminix in red with the CM nib. Whee! I love the CM nibs. It was called a pixie compared to the longer Plumix.

I posted this elsewhere, but why not post the photo here too. Pilot made the Plumix and the Pluminix. They have discontinued them. But they can be purchased still, if you do some sleuthing. So here is the navy Plumix and the red Pluminix.

Esterbrook Estie Back to the Land in Funky Lake. It came with both a cartridge and a little over 5ml of blue ink, as well as a magnetic pen loop.

@Misfit Will do! I mainly wanted to try the journaler nib after reading a lot of raves about it. Of course, one person's rave is another's meh.  I'll ink it up tomorrow when I get back from getting my knee drained (I'll need a treat and it's probably better for me than a pint (or two) of ice cream).

And you seriously tempted me with the Pluminix. There's still lime green ones available from the Pilot store on Amazon and the price is so reasonable, and it's a Pilot..... I'm doomed.

If you don't like the pen the nib and feed can swap into any Pilot pen that takes their steel nib. (Kakuno with a nice crispier stub...)

Be very careful, and really look at the pen. On Amazon France, the red Pluminix was mixed in with Plumix pens. Look for Pluminix on the pen body. Also, the Pluminix is a small pen very similar to the size of a TWSBI Diamond Mini.

Two TWSBI ECOs--Espresso with bronze, 1.1 stub and Caffé with bronze, M nib. I'm thinking they both need brown inks.

I chopped them off, but my bottles of Iro Rikka and Syun-gyo also arrived with a big shout-out to @Penguincollector because I got the pens and ink both from Oblation. :D

I don't have any of the modern (reboot) Esties, just a bunch of vintage ones (most of which still need to be checked out/rehabbed).  So what's the "journaler" nib all about?  I'm not familiar with the term.

The nibs are ground by Gena Salorino and (quoting the Esterbrook website), "...“medium stub grind, based on the vintage Esterbrook 9314M nib. The idea is that it’s smooth and friendly enough for everyday use, gives your writing some flair, all without being too huge for practical writing”."

So....curiosity got the better of me since I do love me a stub nib. Unless I'm practicing kanji...

Thanks for the info.  I have a bunch of vintage Esties, and some spare nib units as well (and I think I have a 9314M) but the only two I've ever used both have 1555 Gregg nibs.  And you know what?  For low-end "student grade" nibs which don't have tipping (just folded over tines), they're both pretty nice writers....

Today I received a new Lamy Safari LE Dark Dusk, which is a deep Navy Blue, and will function as a workhorse pen for me.
