This blue Pelikan M400 on the right has just landed to keep its vintage 400 cousin company. So now my flock has finally grown to two! (Is it legal to call two chicks a flock?) Anyway, it's so pretty, I love it already!! And the B nib is very, very nice.

Very nice!  I got a Pelikan Cafe Creme. It demanded I get a brown Pelikan or even white tortoise so it would have an ally vs the two blue striped ones. I ended up choosing a vintage brown tortoise. Then I got the Smokey Quartz in a set with the ink. You’d think that was enough brown.  But no, the Cafe Creme wanted the Cognac to join because of the Moonstone version I had to have. (Is it fair of me to claim it’s the Cafe Creme making me buy more pens?)

Please, help me identify this pen which I found today (I have no information at all). It has some kind of lizard on nib and swan on cap (see pics)

Update:

There were many listings. Products are sold with the expressions "maybe made in Germany" and "presumed to be made in Germany", and cartridge inks are explained with the expression "presumed to be a unified European standard". As shown in the image, most of them remain NOS because they are sold with a converter without cartridge ink. Apparently it is not the current product. It's just a guess, but this product feels like a gift item.

The following thread was present in the search in the forum:

https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/239412-fp-leaking-from-converter-nipple/

There is no information about anything else.

Please pinch out the image and check the "lizard".

Number99, thank you!

Yes, I definitely have an AIHIT pen. Not totally as the one on the pics but quite similar. It works on standard cartridges (I don't have a converter) and it works great. No leaking or any other problems.

Writes beautiful and very smoothly. A pen is a keeper! I Will leave to myself.

Total surprise for, practically, noname manufacturer.

2 Platinum lady pocket pens, a lady Pilot Elite, and a Pilot Custom - all gold fine nibs.

This Elite is an odd bird. I've never seen another one like it. A sort of medium-length pen that, when posted, is actually shorter than Pilot Elite pocket pens. The overall nib size is slightly smaller than a normal Elite nib and the same size as my Pilot lady-styled pocket pens that are not Elites. It also had the non-Elite lady-styled clip - my other lady Elite has a normal Elite clip.

[Why did I choose an old ad for a Blind Lemmon Jefferson record for the background? 1970-80s era Japanese pens and a pre-war, American country blues ad? Hmm ...]

The shape and writing lines are very similar to the lineup of Hero from the old state era (is it still?).

But I don't know the same, and there is a link to the old catalog. There seems to be a model with no signs in the pen included in it.

A link to a post with a link to that catalog.

Would you like to browse it once? You can browse the old catalog at the link address at the bottom of this post.

However there is no such thing there.

Thanks, it should be Vintage Hero or WingSung Pen, but I couldn't find it in provided catalog. I will try to google it.

I forgot. Is there a mark on the filler?

Many of these models use the same filling system as Parker 51's aerometric fillers.

The filler is inscribed in English or Chinese.

Of course, after 1980s, there was also a cartridge converter system.

I got the Pelikan Classic M200 in Cognac today. It’s so pretty!

That is pretty. I had thought it would be brown, but it actually looks golden. Do you have an ink selected?

Will work for pens...

I do, and it’s Graf von Faber-Castell Cognac.

To me, the pen looks as if it could be a clear demonstrator filled with dark honey. I started searching around for dark honey-colored inks that might be a good match and the closest I could find is Van Dieman's Leatherwood Honey Amber, but I think it would be much better with more brown and less yellow.

At any rate, GvFC Cognac looks to be an interesting color that would go well with that beautiful pen. Enjoy!

EDIT: Sorry, meant to add that, while I don't drink myself, having a glass of cognac while writing with that combination would seem very appropriate.

Also, while Seitz Kreuznach Cognac is too orange, I think, their Cinnamon Brown looks like it's also a good match, especially if you are wanting to keep German with German.

I don’t drink either. Somewhere, here or some other review or post, the person did drink cognac when either the pen arrived, or he/she wrote with it. I have a sample of KWZ Honey, numerous brown inks. Someday I might not look to match inks, and use some other color.

Matching inks is one of the wonderful possibilities with fountain pens. I bought a Kaweco rollerball recently and I'm still getting over the shock of how limited the choice is in refills.

Same!!

I got two pretty RBs in a mixed auction lot last year that were too nice to part with but I put felt-tip fills in them instead of rollerball. So, despite being only blue and black, at least they *feel* kinda fun. :)
