The TWSBI Classic in Sapphire blue arrived today. The notebook is the E- from the Elemental Notebook line that has gone away. Pity that. The paper is old Tomoe River paper.

I’ll post my DuPonts next time they’re in rotation. Nice pens, they should show up here more often!

I expect another pen from Dupont soon. When it arrives, I'll show it :)

That's a really nice pen MzFit 😀👍

I always appreciate your mini reviews...

What mini notebook were you writing in?

The paper looks greenish....

Btw, that's a very sharp photo....👍😀

Were you using the downstairs light?

Taylor Swift Tortured Poets' Department pen. No clip, but the cap screws into the back and doesn't imbalance the pen. The nib is fine and is gold plated. A little tooth, but not in a terrible way - like a pencil.

@USG it is an E- or Electron notebook from a 3-pack of the defunct Elemental Notebooks. I wish I had bought more from them before they were gone.

I took the photo in a floor level bedroom. If I’d been more patient, I might have avoided shadows. The paper is white old Tomoe River paper.

Thank you for appreciating my mini reviews as you coined that term. I bet more people would do mini reviews if they knew how simple they could be. I never thought if my showing the pen and ink as a review until you called it a mini review.

@sandy101 Does the TPD pen use standard international cartridges?  Are you a Swiftie?

I live in suburban KC, where her beau plays football. I’ve never heard her music, that I know of, but can appreciate her business savvy.

The Taylor Swift Tortured Poets' Department pen takes Jinhao cartridges 2.6mm width (annoyingly this is not mentioned in the instructions that came with the pen, which means many, I fear, are destiined for landfill once the ink runs out.) I got a convertor on  e-bay for it.

Not a swiftie (although I've liked some of her songs on the radio). The pen may eventually end up as an gift for one. However, being a poet - a pen dedicated to the Tortured Poets' Department tickled me.

A pen that cost less that £25 that wrote out the box though - and remains balanced when posted.

I have pens that cost £250 and they're still being difficult.

Eversharp Skyline standard size dark blue, I believe the nib is a Manifold Fine if I recall correctly. Inked it with Waterman Serenity blue

@Runnin_Ute Congratulations on the Skyline pen. I used the exact same ink in mine.

I really wanted one with the gold cap. But they were all Demi sized. Or way out of budget. Basically I waited to long. A month or so ago, I could have had one.

@Runnin_Ute someone here mentioned there are quite a few Skylines that go on sale, and you can look and wait. Easier said than done. But maybe you can get one with the cap you want at a decent price later.

S. T. Dupont Classique (circa 1980-90s)

Stylish gold plated slim pen with medium 18k nib. Nib is quite stiff, smooth, the flow is medium. The body is made wonderfully, better than Aurora Hastil or Montblanc Noblesse.

Very difficult to take good photos, my apologies

@Tashi_Tsering what is the gold item on top the box in your photo? Is it a card case?

Lori, I think it is a cigarette lighter. No?

This is a lighter from S. T. Dupont from the 1990s,  model "ligne D".

@yubaprof, you are right!

This photo is an attempt to show the history of Dupont pens  :) Dupont did not produce pens until 1973, they were mainly known for their lighters and leather goods. It is believed that Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis requested Dupont to make a pen for her that would be a pair with her lighter from S. T. Dupont, and that is how Dupont pens began to be produced. The first pen was a ballpoint pen and looked like a lighter activation roller. A year later, Dupont began making fountain pens. The first Dupont pens were the “Classique” series.
Since this is a "Classique" pen, I decided to take a picture of it next to a lighter.

Sorry for my English
