New pen arrived today, Waterman's Carene, Garnet Red satin finish, 18k Gold and Rhodium plate fine nib. Inked with Diamine's Ancient Copper ink. Very smooth firm nib with a little feedback and wetness just right.

How can you know that?  I hope you enjoy the pen whenever you order and get it. They are lightweight, and write as well as any of their lower priced Pilot buddies.

That’s Leia’s line when she meets Luke in disguise. I’m sorry that wasn’t clear, but it’s a pretty iconic line. They look cool, I put one on my wish list. My work used to order Pilot V5 roller balls, and the Explorer reminds me of a slightly upmarket version of those.

I went to my pen club meeting today, deliberately did not bring cash so I wouldn’t buy anything. I was given these three lovely pens by a couple of friends: a Beena modern safety pen, an Osmiroid B4, and a Parker Parkette.

Pen Club friends are some of the most generous people I know, and I am grateful that I stumbled upon them a few years ago.

The Kaweco Liliput Fireblue arrived today. It fits the Traveler Elite notebook cover that Retro 51 used to make. I put a cartridge of Kaweco Summer Purple in it.

I gave up on waiting for Pilot to make the Custom 823 available with a <SU> or <MU> nib.

My 2nd stylographic style pen, a rOtring Altro in white ribbed plastic with a red trim ring in the barrel that sits just below the snap cap. The black wire clip springs out of the top of the cap and ends in a piece of round white plastic. The outer part of the section, just before the stylo point, is clear plastic which allows me to see the ink. It writes very well with a Fine point, which I think is 0.5 mm.

I thought I’d never own a Fireblue pen. I never wanted to pay that much. But thanks to @SLinkster this one is well under $100.  With rewards money, the price was $60.07.  So, now I have one. Once posted, it is long enough. And they are fun to look at.

Did you buy a clip for yours?  Mine has already rolled, but it didn’t hit the floor.

My Lamy CP1 and matching mechanical pencil have arrived. That's one skinny pen.  Not inked yet.

Will work for pens...

No clip, but I hadn't thought of getting one. You just put that thought in my head..

@cat74 I think those pens were meant to be yours. You have the nibs to bring the pens back to being working pens.

@Doug C when I was looking at the one I got, I checked reviews. One mentioned how good the Lilliput looked with the bronze clip.

New pens day courtesy of AliExpress. I picked up two each of the sharks and clear demonstrators. Duplicates are going to the local pen club's "pens for kids" project along with some pens already in that box. The rest are for my "Christmas is coming" box. The blue wancai mini and the traveling pencil are for me.

If you get one, can you post a pic?
