I got this pen today

This was bought on Sunday, but I have been super busy- too busy for pictures, but I will edit one in later. I saw it last month at the pen meeting and didn’t have cash on hand; but I made sure to have it this time. I bought a Parker 50 Falcon flighter. Coincidentally, another member brought their Pilot Myu/Murex/MR micro collection so we got to compare integrated nibs. That was really fun!

These arrived yesterday, but I didn’t bother with photographing them until today.

The first is a Goldspot exclusive Kaweco transparent Royal Amethyst with BB nib. It has a cartridge of Kaweco Summer Purple ink.

The next pen I received is the Eversharp Skyline with a burgundy and gold striped cap, and burgundy pen body. It has a M nib, and is filled with Waterman Florida Blue ink. The pen needs sunlight to get the pen body color to show up as the color it is.

Thank you @DilettanteG there is a 33¢ postage stamp of trains, including the 20th Century Limited that the pen designer also worked on. You can see where the pen came from the train. It’s fascinating.

Cool, I didn't know that. I do love Art Deco design.

Etsy sellers have postage stamps. The ones that include the trains want too much money for them.

Nice! Thank god I don't collect vintage pens, or else I'd be on the hunt.

Your Eversharp Skyline 🚊 is gorgeous, @Misfit, as is the purple Kaweco with its jaunty gold clip.  The Skyline reminds me of some of the buildings on Miami Beach.

@SLinkster Wow, that Purple Flame is stunning!

It's pretty amazing! My photo doesn't begin to do it justice. I tried to get better daylight photos but the resin looks black even in indirect sunlight. The gold flecks...

Here’s my new pens, a blue Pilot Lucina I found at the stationery shop, and the Parker 50 M flighter I bought from a fellow pen club member. large.IMG_0785.jpeg.ccdedc6694d014507de7528444d6772f.jpeg

Me too, @RedPie. Thanks; I probably overpaid for it, but I really like it.

Me too. I definitely paid too much for this black Pilot Lucina fountain pen,  but I had already ordered the yellow ballpoint... It took ages to arrive, then I forgot about it. The ink is Iroshizuku Yama-guri. Thankyou for reminding me to ink it up and discover that it does write very nicely. It's like I just got it.

Will work for pens...

This photo comes from Reddit of the 20th Century Limited Train that was designed by Henry Dreyfuss who also designed the Eversharp Skyline pen.
