Thank you for this review! Not my cup of tea, but it's always nice to be sure.

Thank you @namrehsnoom for this comprehensive review!

While I have almost all other Edelstein inks, I didn't even test this one, because of the flitter.

I got the impression, Golden Beryl doesn't perform well on white paper. However, your review made me curious about how Golden Beryl may look like on a dark paper (maybe black or dark blue). Have you done or would you like to test?

Thanks again!

  • 1 year later...

A year+ on in the same M200 F, I haven't had any issues with this ink. No hard starts, no clogging, doesn't dry out on the nib and doesn't dry out in the pen, either; it can sit for a couple months and writes straight away, every time. I did try running my finger over the writing and, yes, glitter rubbed off on my finger but I haven't seen it just fall off the page by itself when shaken.

Lovely color, quite legible from the F and very sparkly.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I have been using my Pelikan M205 Beryl filled with Golden Beryl for the last couple of weeks.  I started with an EF nib and switched it for F then M, since I have lots of extra Pelikan 200 nib units that are easy to switch.  I had no trouble with clogging in any of the nibs, but found that until I used the M the ink was too light to easily read what I wrote.  But today I cleaned out the pen, and there is staining in the inside of the grip section, where the feed sits.  Removed the nib unit and used various cleansers on a Qtip, but could not get it clean.  Highly annoying!
