Pure Pens Barafundle

I am currently having problems finding a good pen for this ink. I got it since I love shading and this was a way better deal than Troublemaker and Sailor Studio/Manyo.

 

It wrote really well on my glass dip pen, which I used to catalogue a swatch from it. However, I couldn’t find a pen that rendered legible results. My collection is unfortunately quite limited:

 

- Kaweco Sport B: it is the broadest nib I own, but it writes very dry. It works with my Troublemaker Abalone, but with Barafundle the writing becomes invisible

- Kaweco Sport M: same as above

- Jinhaos on F size, same.

- Lamy in M and F sizes, they start giving me more hope, but the writing experience with this ink is very scratchy

- Platinum 05 (their M size): the only nib that worked. However not as saturated as the examples in the original post here, and less readable than writing with my glass dip pen.

 

if only my Kaweco Sport would behave like the other broad nibs people seem to have, with better flow… the ink is barely motivated to come down from the feed into the nib…

@Deverillfunny my Kaweco broad is quite wet. If you're a bit adventurous you can try making it slightly more wet. There are many videos on how to...
