So the entire threaded section of my Visconti Van Gogh came out... I used a hair drop of super glue to put it back together and I glued the nib section closed as well. any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

OUCH, I am so sorry to hear this.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY

Lucky for me I got it free.  There is a small gap between the resin body and the chrome nib section and to be honest I have grown to love the little character it has added to the pen.  It feels better in my hand as almost like a grip my hands tend to get very clammy on long writing sessions so it helps oddly enough!
