Hi,

I am a FP lover living between Dublin (Ireland) and Johannesburg (South Africa). I am a management consultant and executive coach with a particular interest in working with C-suite executives and board directors.

I mountain bike and love getting out in nature as an avid backpacker and experienced hike leader.😎

This year I decided to go back to school and am now (in mid-life🤔) studying for a MA in Catholic theology. (I received my PhD in business 17 years ago). And although things are much more digital now then when I first went to graduate school, I'm finding myself doing a ton of writing😊.

Hello and welcome :)

That sounds like a big life-change - but I suspect a very satisfying one. Enjoy FPN.

Hi, it´s been three years from my last visit to RSA, and I miss it, hopefully next year 😊

Our tourism industry has really taken a beating during Covid. We entered an official National State of Disaster in March last year. We are still in it, we have adjusted different levels depending on which wave we were/are in. We have just finished the 3rd wave and are expecting the 4th wave in December. Our vaccine rollout is much slower than in other parts of the world. But once this pandemic is controlled, South Africa stands ready to welcome back her tourists.

CapeWind,

Welcome to the forum.  Please enjoy your stay.

I was fortunate to live 2 1/2 years near Cape Town.  What an awesome country.  I wish them the best when things improve.

Cape Town is one of the most beautiful cities in South Africa but I do prefer Durban (my hometown), great subtropical climate all-year round (as compared to here in Dublin where it's cold and rainy everyday), long beautiful beaches, 2 hours to the Drskensburg (I'm an avid backpacker) and great bunny chows - who could ask for more?😅
