Where are Parkers made...

That is right. This demi is an American-made one. The '51' proper from Toronto is navy grey.

In addition to those, I have a couple of other blues (Vac and Aero), a few more dove grey full-size models, and a sort of hybrid green pen that Ron Zorn did some work on for me. At the time he thought it was a true '51' which had seen its nib replaced by an octanium one (because of the hole size in the grip section and the colour of the tassie) and I had him change it for a true gold '51' nib.

The one I have is. And just like the old 45s from France, it comes rather plainly packed. You get the pen and a single cartridge. No instructions and nothing special in the box (although the box itself is quite nice).

Mine (new 51 Deluxe) was also made in France. It came with a converter, and one black, one blue long cartridges. But just as you said, Mike, no instructions.

Well. I guess that is the OTHER difference between the steel-nibbed and the gold-nibbed pens!

I hope you enjoy your new 51 as much as I am enjoying mine.

Thank you, Mike.

It’s early days (only had it a week), but I’m actually pleasantly surprised. It’s a fine nib and I was worried it might be scratchy - but there’s no sign of it. Fingers crossed, but I think this is a good pen.

Some of them, the ones marked FRANCE.

To be correct: it is marked "FRANCE", so we can say it is  certainly assembled and finished in France.

But we do not know where the pen's parts are manufactured...

I already commented on this matter on other thread related to NG51, etc.

All the best is only beginning now...
