What nibs can be used on duke 551?

The nib isn't broken or anything just writes very cheaply and overall not enjoyable any companies that you know the nib can be used on most pens or compatible with duke pens?

Is the nib properly aligned, nibs can be jarred out of alignment easily; happening often in the mail.

 

With so few posts I'd not expect you to have a loup....the cheap Chinese 40X is only 10X magnification. You need one for a life time, can look at hallmarks, coins or value stamps with one.

No, a honking big magnifying glass won't do at looking at the tip to see if it is aligned or not. You Do Need a loup.........online mail is rough, nibs are often out of alignment through the mail.

 

Was talking to my German B&M owner....Brick and Mortar and he gets his stuff on a small pallet so never has alignment problems.

 

 In I thought Duke an expensive Chinese pen, I'd expected a good nib on it.

Check to see if the alignment is off....go to a jeweler if you must and borrow his 6 X loup.

If aligned, then it might be a lousy nib.

 

What about sending it back to the dealer?????
