I guess your TWSBI only skips when reverse writing?

Just a preference thing.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

I don't think I did a particularly good job of this, but “Curious nib in brass container” made me think of Five Characters in Search of an Exit immediately.

Dating a (insert your brand name here) fountain pen.

...And a surprise.

large.Dating_a_X_FP_small.png.e099eea40e

And the surprise: while I was editing the picture, I played with color correction and found this. In real life and in the normal image (above) you just see the opaque "white" paper. But when colors are enhanced, the transparency of this copy paper sheet is revealed and you can see what was behind in the sheets below as if it had been trace paper. This is exactly the same picture as above only with a different color correction, the white outlines around the drawing are because I applied a sharpening mask before the color correction, the grey below is the shadow of the cell phone over the paper:

The lesson: beware of the photos you publish, they may reveal more than you expect.

Everytime I see a Dating your ...Pen I think this thought. You captured it.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Help me ID this pen

This was about stick people, not about quality, right? So, there.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

Parker Latitude: how to stop evaporation?

large.Parker_Latitude_how_to_stop...png.

Can't stop thinking of the Amazon basin in a hot, torrid summer day, with saturated humidity.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

LOVE THIS!

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."
