When will the Writers Edition 2021 be in stores?

It hit the stores here in Ireland last week and I got a closer look at it in the hand, but I'm still not a fan. I really dislike the clip and the rest of it feels a bit generic. The notebook and ink are nice though. I was hoping for a slightly deeper red, but it's a paler red than the Shakespeare.

Less about the photos and more about the hand feel. The Elvis in particular feels heavy [no not a reference to the person;)], the chasing on the resin body, together with the chosen finishes and colors give the pen a very high quality feel. It does not come across so well in the photos.

This is one aspect I feel of the Montblanc pens that is harder to convey. I was totally not planning to get the Elvis pen at all. On paper the design did not appeal to me, and I am not a fan of Elvis's music. But when I saw the pen in the boutique, and was handed the pen to handle, I immediately knew I had to have it. Whereas I really like the ACDoyle pen in the pictures, but the real pen was a little more subdued with the grey resin and the ruthenium plating. It almost felt like a copy of some real design.

Thank you for this post.  With the exception of a few of his songs in the late 60's (betraying my age here) I was never a huge Elvis fan but I've just ordered the pen because I want the O2B nib (I changed my mind at the last moment with another one currently on order).  The Elvis pen, despite its very odd emphasis on cars instead of music, looked to me to have the same quality and quirkiness as the Disney model which I bought on a whim and love a great deal more than I expected.

I wanted to like the Conan Doyle but the two "base" models just look dreary to me in the stock photos.  I like the look of the two (very) upmarket models but they're waaaaaay outside my price range, sadly.

Your post has made me feel quite excited about getting the Elvis, although it won't get to me for at least a couple more weeks.

I meant to add that it's worth noting the notebook is covered in red velvet, not leather or plastic. I've spent a bit of today messing about with the scarlet ink. I have to say, I think it might be the closest thing I've ever seen to fresh blood. I find it a tiny bit grisly but I can see that there are some who will go wild for this ink. It shades to a rich orange which actually highlights the effect of fresh blood even more.

The Shakespeare ink wll be hard to beat.

I think it's one of the best MB have released, in recent years.

I'm now down to half a bottle and am starting to eke it out, to make it last.

Regarding the Arthur Conan Doyle fountain pen: I love the look of the pen.

Can you post the cap ... this is what I like to do when I'm out and about with my fountain pens.

I've also been playing with the scarlet ink, and I like it quite a lot.

Unlike Corn Poppy, which remains my benchmark for MB reds, it does have a little orange going on (a lot less than Red Fox), but it's certainly not pink or burgundy. In a straight comparison, (bearing in mind that red is not one of my most well represented colours) I think it's actually closer to Diamine Matador than anything else I have.

I'd still rather just have Corn Poppy back though.

Any chance of a size comparison photo versus another pen? Keen to see capped and uncapped view.

As a serial poster I should have done this when it was in my hand, but didn't.  Sorry, i know getting this information can be like getting blood out of a stone on threads. I don't know but had the sense it would post....but....the cap felt a bit clumsy to me. It's not especially heavy though. Maybe I was just obsessing over the clip.

I will answer the posting question soon as I get mine. It is taking longer because I ordered it with XF nib. I got both the normal edition and LE.
