I am interested in why people don’t change their handwriting to accompany their nib size.

Naaa, that is just maximum freedom. You're a grown-up person (I suspect), so why should you and your writing be confined by such narrow uniformity! 😎

Ha! I'm a retired literature teacher. I still have some residual trauma from how my handwriting was criticized when I was in grammar school. I never deducted points for my students' handwriting. Never. But I taught secondary school. Freedom it is!
