Fritz Schimpf sirimiri (rainy grey)

Fritz Schimpf is a stationer in Tübingen, Germany, and this is one of their seven (as of this writing) house-branded inks.

sirimiri (Spanish for light rain or drizzle, zirimiri in Basque) is a muted green grey. It is available in a 30ml bottle for 5.49€. It's also part of a four ink set for 19.95€.

I like this ink - like other Fritz Schimpf inks, it's quite understated. It goes down very grey, and dries somewhat green.

Well that's the one that's tipped me over the edge! I've really enjoyed seeing these (having been curious about them for some time) and I have one or two other things I want from them anyway. Thank you for doing these.

I hadn't realised they were made by L'Artisan Pastellier either - one of my favourite ink houses.

Glad to be of help. I don't actually know that all their inks are by L'Artisan Pastellier; Fritz Schimpf only says that explicitly for gelassenheit and niebla. But it would be fair to assume that they all are.

Hmm.  More grey.  I'm all greyed out, I'm afraid.  But it is interesting, a grey that dries a bit green.  Thanks again for the reviews!

Thank you for the review 🙂

Sirimiri is one of the inks that I want to have for the name alone!

But it's also an ink where I think the name is not really a perfect fit: imo a drizzle named ink should be a bit lighter 😉

I'm guessing it's hard to capture in a photo or scan but, regardless, it is intriguing enough that I will put it on my 'buy' list. If it looks the way I think it might it could be a unique ink color.

They are the same bottles as the L'AP Classique line. I know of no one else who uses those bottles other than Papier Plume, many of whose inks resemble L'AP's in style, and I vaguely remember reading that Papier Plume's are made in France.

Thanks yet again - I was really looking forward to you showing us these inks and I am appreciative for your follow-through.

Diamine nib cleaner is also sold in these. Which is curious given the number of bottle styles of their own that they already have.

And to add to the evidence against my conjecture 😂, I just noticed Yard-o-led uses those bottles as well.

not a fan of grey inks, but their Gewitterwolke (stormy blue) is a very nice dark blue/blue black, which remains distinctly blue.

Not only the nib cleaner.

Sometimes/at some point in time Diamine's Registrar's Ink is/was sold in that kind of bottle too.

Thanks for another review. I like gray-green inks, so I guess that I'll put this one on my list, too.

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.
