A new (old) pen I picked up.

Sterling Silver Overlay.

Minimal wear on the silver.

Cab anyone give me a guess at the market value?

Just a quick guess from someone who has been looking at these for a while. I almost got one in Chicago at the show this year, but passed in favor of a 0552 1/2 LEC, but anyway, I digress, I've seen these for anywhere between $250-350 depending on condition. I think the one I passed on might have even been $225, but can't remember right now.

Nice looking pen!

I can't tell from your photo, but if the HR still has excellent color and no teeth marks, you're looking at a retail value of $350.00 or so. I use "retail" in contradistinction to "wholesale," which is what you'd likely be able to get on the 'Bay. I bought my 452 from Al Mayman, and it was immaculate. It also has a wicked big stub nib that pushed the value rather higher than that $350.00 figure.

The HR is not pitch black but it has a good uniform dark color.

No teeth-marks at all.

Thanks for looking ....
