QUIZ: Three taupe (grey brown) inks

Having received my sample of Brun Ours this morning, I think I would have got this right (if I was in time), Brun Ours is pinker, Cacao more violet and Sepia a bit stronger and more neutral.
. . . . however, I also received samples of a couple of Kobe inks, #3 and #40. drops land on a paper towel and my universe expands considerably! Here's (R to L!) Yama Guri, Kobe # 40 and R&K Sepia, which, superficially, are not so far apart?!?

I suspect you would have gotten it right too - given your recent post in the Brown thread I can tell you also have an obsession with this color neighborhood!

I'd really like to do a proper chromatography - I'll probably have to order some chromatography paper or lab filter paper since I live out in the sticks without a source nearby and we try to avoid buying paper towels, using reusable dish-rags instead.

Thanks for the picture - the often unexpected results of ink chromatography are fascinating to me.
