Lamy 2000 fakes?

Was looking at this posting on etsy and trying to determine if these are fakes.

 

It looks like the cap retention clips are black and not silver. Has Lam'y changed this from their silver clips?

This is my Lamy 2000, purchased July 2020. As you say the “ears” are silver...  

 

 

 

 

But if you look at this link the ears appear silver in some photographs and black in others...

Good for you; you have a keen eye - I don't know if I would have spotted that - but I think you just saved yourself from getting screwed. 👍

 

Both of mine have silver wings, too.

Who told you that? Is that what Goulet Pens did too? I doubt it.

 

Go to your favourite search engine; enter Lamy 2000. Click on IMAGES. You'll see endless photos without evidence of the clip rings.

The link you provided to Goulets website shows the Silver rings in all of the uncapped photos. Inthe first photo the pen is rotated so that the stubs are at the top and bottom of the barrel in profile..

That's good. There's lots of scams out there.

I won a bid on an iPad a few days ago and started a conversation with the seller regarding shipping. He had received an email from someone else claiming they had won the auction and wanted it sent to a different address. You have to be careful on those sites.

I was able to order one through www.endlesspens.com for $99.

Guess they have this sale every year. Pens were gone in about 5 minutes. But I was able to get one.

I have seen one major fake lamy thusfar, they are counterfeiting the lamy dialog 3.
