Hi @Karmachanic.

There are already so many good recommendations. But I like to add three more:

deAtramentis Deepwater Obsession line: black-blue and black-green.

There is also a black-brown (I do not know) and a black-red that isn't black.

Diamine Green/Black which is black when written with a wet pen but is more a dark olive green written with a dry pen. My Pineider F delivered a black line that shows some green in direct sunlight.

Honorable mention: Colorverse Sunspot which should be neutral black, but it's sheen is golden-ochre. It lets you guess if it is black or not.

And finally: you can mix inks with saturated colours with a black ink of similar pH-value. Starting with 1 part colour and 5 parts black can already be what you are searching for. From there, adapt as required.

One life!

Thanks for tryin' @InesF :) Mr Picky ( that would be me) says both the de Atramentis and Diamine inks are just darker versions of the original colour, and do not get close enough to black to qualify as NQB.  This from reviews I've bee able to find.

Colorverse Sunspot is black, sheen aside. Black inks don't qualify as NQB

Add lightness and simplicate.

Blackstone Daintree Green- at least in my Lamy 2000 with a fine nib. It does show some sheen. Issue might be availability.

Just tried a sample of Monteverde Ocean Noir, which is a very dark blue-black.  I haven't done much in the way of formal testing, but it's super dark the way Diamine Anniversary 1864 and and Diamine Eclipse are.

J Herbin BdP in a wet nib is pretty close to a red-sheening purpley-grey- black.

Oh ok. It needs a wet nib to show off the purpley-blackness well anyways.

How about MB Midnight blue? This ink made me trust reviews less. It turns grey-black on the page after a while, despite being non-IG.

I have a Soennecken permanently running Midnight Blue for three plus years.  Doesn't make the list in my experience.

Add lightness and simplicate.
