Extra Fine Nib Ink Review: Pilot Mixable Colour Pink

This is review #84 in my series.  Here's the YouTube video:

Post-recording notes: Color in the photos in pretty accurate.  Cleaning was quick and easy.  This is the first review with new lighting diffuser (that lets considerably more light through).

And here is a screen of the final result, for those not interested in the video:

Interesting that cleaning pink was easy...

That seems to be a great for those who like hot pinks, and love correcting texts and crappy paper.... ;)

Is it it my imagination or does this episode seems the one before the cheeseburgers?

Yes, most unusual.

That or someone who likes watching grass grow...  Something.  It is a very hot pink.  I imagine this ink from the 6mm Parallel pen would burn your retinas - or make you have flash-backs involving disco balls, roller-skating rinks, and big-hair bands.

Well, the plan was to get the cheeseburgers first, then leave with all the trap-ees, and eat their cheeseburgers once out of the sphinx.  This is part of the "Oh, that was unexpected" interruption...

Quote

81 Montegrappa Dark Blue
After getting six cheeseburgers to go (a request which made the server suspicious), Primus pounded his staff against the floor three times, cleared his throat, and announced, "We're here to rescue you!  The right foot--" A fireball flew from one corner of the cafe, straight at Primus.

82 R.O. Great Southern Ocean
"Noooo!" Quartus yelled, thrusting his staff into the path of the fireball! Primus ducked as the fireball split.  Quintus set his staff and cast a shielding spell.  Trapped patrons screamed and scattered.  And Makhabesh flew right into the face of the fellow muttering in the corner and began to claw his eyes out.

83 Monteverde Fire Opal
"My eyes! My eyes!" cried the muttering corner-wizard as he turned his back and hunched into a ball.  "Sieze him!" Primus ordered.  Quartus and Quintus dragged the enemy into the light.  "Gaah!" shouted the three wizards in unison.  "It's Marsell, the Oily Sorcerer of Bicbiro!"

84 Pilot Mixable Colour Pink
While the three wizards bound Marsell and stripped him of his magical paraphernalia, Makhabesh directed his fellow trap-ees toward the big sphinx's right forepaw. Suddenly, all light vanished, there was a bang, a flash, smoke, and when the three wizards reconjured their orbs, Marsell was gone!

Thank you as always Liz. It sounds like a good option for someone very unlike me!

You're not tempting me with the mixables (thank goodness).

Well, we do have 10 colors yet to come (if you call "black" a color). :)  Though my next unpopular kid is looking like it will be a Thornton or Colorverse ink!

I think this ink is exactly the sort of ink that one of my daughters would adore. 🙂 I on the other hand, will appreciate that at least it's bold enough to read. 🙂

  • 1 year later...

Here's the line width measurement. The line is one of those used for dry time.  Magnification is 100x.  The grid is 100x100µm.  The scale is 330µm, with eleven divisions of 30µm each.  The line width for this ink is roughly 330µm.
