Noodler's Blue Comparison

Recommended Posts

I thought I would do a comparison of all the Noodler's blue(ish) inks that I have tried. Some are really more teal (and one green). My favorites are 54th Mass and Lermontov (which has a purple sheen when applied heavily).

You have two of my favorite there, Blue Nose and Polar Green. I really liked Polar Blue too...

I loved also both Bad Blues and Aircorps but I have enough inks :)

Thank you!  I love these!  Please consider adding the image to the blue thread (located in the signature line below).

Now that you have this, also consider cutting the page in half and putting one in the sun for a fade test.  I think you will be surprised.  We would love to see even more of your work!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

A few observations:

1) My 54th Mass. is nowhere near that light.  Mine is much closer to your Air Corps Blue Black.

2) Your 54th reminded me of Shin-Kai of the Pilot Iroshizuku line.

3) Your blue black appears spot on with mine.

4) Blue-Black and Air Corps Bl-Bl look almost identical.  What’s the difference... Color?  Properties?  Performance?

Thanks for the posting and work!  👋
