Help needed to identify 1980s fountain pen

ARVAN REESE

Hello,

I have a Montblanc fountain pen in need of repair.  I don't know which model it is.   I have attached pictures of the cap and base, fountain pen nib assembly.  The broken pieces are in the picture of the clear interior plastic assembly with threads at both ends. The other pictures are to help ID the pen.

That interior clear plastic piece broke in half and the metal ring is bent.

Thanks in advance for any help.

The cap on your pen has one band =320. The section on your pen has the v notch which is standard on the 221 where as the 320 does not. Or maybe metal pens are different? post-141133-0-72222500-1518063612_thumb.jpegpost-141133-0-80907000-1518064006_thumb.jpeg

The 221 has a cap with two bands, a v notch in the section, and a gold ring at ink window.

The good news is the sections and ink windows are interchangeable so you can cannibalize from either which is why some 320's have the notch and gold ring and others don't or Montblanc may have even made them like that to confuse us in the future, lol.

Thanks to you both!  I googled 'montblanc 220 parts' and found both parts on ebay.

I'm not sure of the specific model number, but I bought this one in the late 80's or early 90's.  It may even have been old inventory sitting in the store for a number of years...not sure.

Definitely thank you both.
