Krishna Permanent Blue Black Iron Gall

A first review for this ink I believe.

Flow: moderately dry, but not as dry as others such as Registrar's, Salix, etc.

Bleed/feather: minimal, characteristic good behavior for an iron gall ink

Saturation: medium

Color: standard blue black, does darken a bit over time, but not much

Water resistance: high, but only the oxidized gray line remains (will post WR photo); though more water resistant that their IG Black

Shading: some

Bottle: comes in small 20ml bottle for around $8 before shipping

Thanks for the review - that's a nice-looking color, but I will resist!  (At least until I'm done with the samples I already have!)

I'd go with 54th Massachusetts or Essri....rather than this..

What is this "or" you speak of?

Essri is an iron gall ink, made by one of the ex-employees of the famed Stephens ink. It's only sold from the site bokaba, posted. A drop of it on a paper towel looks sky blue. It oxidizes into black..... I believe it's on the dry side. I have a similar ink to that... Hopefully, I'll get around posting a review.....

I was trying, apparently unsuccessfully, to say why by this or that when one can get samples of this and that.

Sorry the reason I didn't use and was because I was choosing between a bulletproof and an iron gall ink. Two different class of inks. I hope it's more clear....

:D  It was clear from the beginning.  I was trying to be funny - pretending not to know what the word "or" was. :(

It's okay, I got it, and laughed (well, digitally, at least). 😄
