Hi be great if someone could help me identify the model and see if it looks legitimate.

looks like a 144 if it is a snap cap. Don't see any obvious red flags. Could be a 145 if there are threads.

 

There are lots of threads on how to spot fakes if you search them out.

It's a 144 because it has the band next to the nib and a snap cap. Looks OK.

A 145 with threads doesn't have a band next to the nib.

Fakes don't usually accept that threaded converter

  The real thing.  The nib looks quite worn like it's an oldie.

Very nice Montblanc 144.

The ring on the section did not corrode, so I would say it was not much used.
