Will Sheaffer have a new bottle?

I've just got hold of the new blue (Renegade Blue), but I don't have the old blue so I'm afraid I can't compare. The packaging is clearly more expensive than the old packaging (fancy cardboard box).

I suppose thats why it's 20ml less i volume, fancy cardboard

Just two questions about the ink:

1. Is this just a name change like Waterman did a few years back?
2. What happened to blue-black???

My guess is a #6 Jowo nib won't fit into the little side slot for filling a pen. Is that true?

 

I have a vintage Shaeffer Blue-black bottle (70s?) with ink, yes.

Mine arrived moments ago seems like nice ink.

I inked up a pen I had at the ready, I can say that it's

a very nice ink, indeed. Wet and saturated and red.

I am happy with the ink. The bottle and cap are also

very nice. Appears that the ink is no longer Slovokian

manufactured, as the box reads "Made in China".

Some time ago someone mentioned the new Cross (parent company of Sheaffer) inks bearing the same Made in China.

The logotype and the hollow O logo look really sharp... vintage and modern at the same time.

Excellent photo. The cap more wide than bottle looks funny to me It seems like a HAT !! 🤣

Hi Mr Rene, the reality is the cap is only 1.4 mm wider than

the bottle so that only .7mm per side, the photo does seem

to give the cap/chapeau extra credit. Cheers.
