What is your most recent MB acquisition?

Old used real MB inkwells on the black glass stand, go for an arm and a leg. Or I'd have one in my 30-40 inkwell&sets.

Every time I've seen one...some 6 or so times I've gone :yikes:at the price.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

I like to find deals even though I really don't need another pen. $540 USD for the Montblanc Legrand Martelé Rollerball Sterling Silver.

Congratulations! It took me a really long time to break that habit. Still, it’s a beautiful pen at a great price. Use it in good health.

cheers

Enzo Ferrari Purple

It produces quite a bit of sheen; although, I've been using it in quite a wet pen.

Was over at my B&M and of course went over and looked at all sorts of 'odd' MB's**, and the usual suspects.

**Must have been 5 or six I hadn't seen before or wasn't that familiar with. I'm sure I'd seen their skeleton pen, but there was two I think, one that didn't look familiar.

I 'need' that spider clip from red&black...Rote & Noir(?) for my pre-'24 Safety Pen. Beats that era silver snake.

Montblanc Heritage Rouge et Noir Spider Metamorphosis Fountain Pen ID

I've really got to ask MB what such a clip costs, so I have a ball park in silver for my local gold smith to make.

It's also heavy metal for me rather than Christmas carols. I have taken delivery of this holy trinity of Solitaires from a collector that is exiting his collection and I am thrilled that they have joined mine.

I have acquired a few MB’s this year.  The Malachite 146 , uninked, is far and away the best:

I have always admired this pen, as well as the Ramses.  Good for you!

@eaudom, beautiful pen. I like it a lot. I love the shade of green they use. Time to load it with some green ink for the holidays.

@Wael El-Dasher, thank you. I love deals. LoL. My wife was complaining that I purchased a MB ink blotter for $80 USD. I told her it's worth like 5x more. She rolled her eyes. Guess what, she was annoyed that the ink would not dry on the Christmas cards, I told her to use the ink blotter. We both paused and laughed. The ink blotter works quite well!!

@The Mustard, wow, lovely solitaires. Very nice. can you post a picture of the Chevron pattern Solitaire uncapped. Thanks.

I totally agree @agentdaffy007 - I hadn’t considered it before you suggested it but you are absolutely right!

@The Mustard, very nice. Although I do think the nib should of been completely rhodium plated. Just like my Martelé should of gotten the MOP treatment.

One of my Christmas gifts this year is a 149 with Calligraphy nib.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

~ @jmccarty3: What a splendid gift!

May it provide much writing pleasure in 2022 and beyond.

An ideal pen for doodling during recovery from medical treatment.

Chevron pattern Solitaire

I see the normal minimalist chevron gold bordering as just fine......the nib has no special pattern that demands a full monotone, be it gold like my Woolf, or white gold or rhodium plated as a couple wished.

Perhaps a white gold chevron bordering, which has it's own tones with Rhodium plating. That would still be two toned but very, very minimalist.
