Waiting for new 100th anniversary 149 to arrive. It can keep 74th and 99th versions company.

@Opooh How exciting!  Please, if it is not too much trouble, could you provide us a family photo of the 75th, 90th, and 100th Meisterstück Anniversary 149 pens?  It would definitely be a sight to behold.

According to Akkerman Den Haag MB has some trouble with production. And there is 2 75th anniversary.

That is interesting but unfortunate that Montblanc is encountering production difficulties with the 100th Anniversary 149.

Yes, correct.  One 75th Anniversary offering was the Special Edition with yellow gold-costed fittings, diamond, and white resin snowcap, produced for a limited time without limit in numbers that were produced and limitation number.

The other 75th Anniversary offering was the Limited Edition 1924, with red gold-coated fittings, diamond, and white nacre (mother-of-pearl) snowcap, produced for a limited time with a limit in numbers of 1924 and limitation number of xxxx|1924.

Five months after ordering I finally have my Origin 149, which now joins my Origin Le Grande (navy), and the Purdey.

@Scribs Congratulations!  That is quite the collection of LeGrand and 149 pens!

Thanks NoType. It's a small, select collection. Here's hoping everyone else that's been able to place orders get their pens without too long of a worrying wait.

Stunning pens and pictures ! Congrats !!

Yesterday, I was out for ink shopping and got all the regular MB inks the shop had, came back home with 3: Burgundy Red, Irish Green and Midnight Blue.

and 2 days ago, i ordered a vintage Meisterstuck 146 with a monocolor 14C nib and straight collar ring , I really wonder if it will have some flex, it looks to be an EF which are my favourites. Will post pics after receiving it and testing.

@daenghafez Fabulous!  Thank you for enabling these side-by-side comparisons of the three Meisterstück anniversary 149 pens.  One can really appreciate both their similarities and the different approaches to highlighted features.

An interesting aspect is that because your 75 Yrs Meisterstück is the Special Anniversary Edition (rather than the Ltd Anniversary Edition 1924 in red gold), what you have here with these pens is all three gold colours:

yellow (“75 Years of Passion and Soul” Special Anniversary Edition);

red (Meisterstück 90th Anniversary);

and

white (The Origin Collection - 100 Years of Meisterstück).

A wonderful tripartite family portrait; I especially admire the nib closeup!

Picked up a MB 146 fine nib circa 1988 at Detroit Pen Show.  As an aside, Identifying vintage fountains age is the best use of Chat GPT I have found.  Amazing what my phone tells me after uploading a few pictures.

Vacillated over the 145 Glacier when it came out and did so for so long that it sold out in most boutiques. It proved to be the most popular of that set of releases and judging by the prices on the grey and second hand market it's still rather sought after. Anyway, it came up on fountain pen day with a fairly good deal and a voucher made it an awful lot better. I didn't vacillate for a second. Now I just have to wait for the posty.

Goodness, I’m drooling over here just reading that.

Looking at your beautiful trio, I remain of the opinion that with 75th Anniversary Montblanc did the better job. The enlarged ring over the clip and the absolutely stunning engravings of the 3-toned nib are simply the best.

After further investigation it looks like a late 50s/early 60s transition.

Plastic piston

Cap rings are all gold

As for photos - looks like a boring regular 149.

Add lightness and simplicate.

Meisterstuck Around the World in 80 Days is my latest. First "themed" MB that I've bought. Inked with MB Burgundy Red. Love the details!
