A great find, PAKMAN!

I once bought one myself, as I like this pen so much, but ended up gifting her to my daughter, and never had the willingness for buy another...

But I stiil find her an irresistible beauty. Congratulations!

That's beautiful, PAKMAN.

In a recent thread, the same pen was pictured next to a similar coloured Petit Prince, for comparison.

The 146R won hands down, in my opinion. It's a great looking pen, a classic  - and of course has the legendary 146 reliability.

Congratulations! Enjoy it in good health.

The Bordeaux 146 is a thing of beauty.

I've been idly watching for a 24 in that color(and/or green) since a 146 is out of my price range now. I love my black/gold pens, but a little variety is nice also.

Yes it certainly is.

@PAKMANWhich ink are you going to use for its maiden voyage?

Not for sure, having a hard time inking it since it is so pristine! My first thought is Iroshizuku tsukushi Horsetail brown.

Tsukushi is a very nice brown with some character. I find yama-guri just a very dark brown, a bit more one-dimensional. You could also consider Montblanc Toffeebrown - to keep it in the family.

The only Montblanc brown I have is a scented Seasons Greetings limited edition ink.

I finally have a pen I've wanted for ever! Montblanc 146 Bordeaux! It's pristine almost a shame to ink it... but of course I will!

Ooooh very nice!  Had a 146 Bordeaux several years ago, and loved the colour.

As for ink, I'd highly recommend Montblanc Burgundy Red.  I think that ink was made for the Bordeaux.  I used that ink in my Bordeaux a lot.

Congratulations! Glad you finally purchased one after passing up on an earlier opportunity. I have the 147 in Bordeaux. Very satisfying color and pen.

I decidedly went small and got myself a Classique with platinum trim (my preferred trim).  This one is with a F nib.  This pen has surprised me in its appearance, ergonomics and nib performance.  The width, length and nib size go so well together and the nib is beautifully tuned/adjusted.  I am really happy with it.

I can now conclude that without a doubt, I get along better with medium sized to smaller pens.  The Classique is comfortable both posted and unposted.  I've filled it with MB Permanent Black since it has been assigned professional duties for a while.

Nice catch. Will you share some high resolution images? That’s all I’ll likely be able to enjoy.  The Elvis is intriguing in appearance but the photos I looked at aren’t high resolution.

I have finally inked the 146R with tsuksuhi (horsetail brown). What a pleasure to write with!
