Hi @Lam1, where in Brasil might that be? It’s my wife’s home country and we will visit next month.

Hi @Linger, it is in Vila Velha, Espirito Santo!

Thx @Lam1

Unfortunately too far south for us. We’re off to Fortaleza and then Belém.

You're welcome.

Keep an eye open for jewelry stores while there. Maybe you'll have some luck.

And have a fun and safe trip.

I recently bought the Writers Edition for the Homage to the Grimm Brothers with a medium nib,  Its a beautiful writer.  Another great writer edition.  I have enjoyed all the writer editions that I have.  I usually get the Fine nib, but they were hard to find when I bought mine.  Still writes beautifully for my handwriting style,

Ah, Tom! You found the Van Gogh ink. Excellent!

~ @Toll: Fritz Schimpf of Tübingen, Germany was the provider of the Montblanc Van Gogh Turquoise ink.

They also shipped a bottle of their own newly released Fritz Schimpf sommerwind ink.

I was curious about the Montblanc Coffee Table Book, so I finally got it.  With over 200 pages of beautiful illustrations, history of Montblanc and writing instruments, inspiring stories about the passion for the art of hand writing culture, and great writers and artists who have enriched the arts, this was a really enjoyable read, a book all fountain pen enthusiasts will enjoy.  All of this presented in a magnificent, glossy, and luxurious bound hard cover of the highest quality in Montblanc style.  A very substantial and hefty book for the library.  It really captures the passion for hand writing and fountain pen culture.  It's the kind of book that will draw you back to re-read and refer to for years to come.

An inspiring excerpt:

"Letters are scented, embossed, they become tactile objects that, of a fashion, live and breathe, a reflection of the emotion behind the words inscribed on their surface....writing is not just on the surface: A pen keys ink into the fibers of the paper, fusing the two together....A fountain pen especially marks the paper, bonding the words to it, carrying messages of congratulations or regret, fear or hope, respect and love that cannot be erased...... "

Hmm.. isn't this book suppose to be a gift? I know it has a price tag, but I got mine as a gift from the boutique.

Finally getting a medium nib 149 to complete my MB collection. I currently have two 146 pens (medium 14k and broad 14c), a 144 (medium 1991 W. Germany serial number) and a 221P (fine). This should be the end of my MB journey. They are among my best writing pens. Although it is possible I might want to sell the broad 146 down the road as it is somewhat less versatile than the medium. I mostly use it for signatures.
