My (slightly early) Christmas present, the TWSBI 700 Vac "Iris" (F nib) with something that I thought would set off the iridescence of the trim well: Diamine Grey.  Because of the fill system (which takes a little getting used to in order to get a good fill) -- plus the fact that after a week there was still a bit of water in the ink chamber from the initial flushing -- I chose to NOT try one of the myriad samples I've got in the queue, and fill the pen from a bottle.  And had forgotten just how much I like the ink....

Today's pen is yesterday's impulsive purchase - a violet Pilot Kakuno with a medium nib filled with Van Dieman's Eggplant. The nib is probably going to be stubbed as soon as I find a spare to act as insurance against ruining it and ending up with no nib.

Will work for pens...

Last night was the Optima Viola, plus I took the Ferrari instead of the PaperMate as my snap-cap option.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

I always thought "dip pens aren`t my cup of tea", but this one is definitely going to change my mind.

This nib is very expressive and difficult to control) sorry for uneven handwriting.

Oh! Very nice indeed!! That is lovely. I just barely missed out on one of these a few months ago and I'm still sad about it! (Even though I don't yet know how to use one...)

What are the second one from the left, the one two over from that, and the two on the right, DougC?

Oh, and for me, so far today it's been the Pelikan P22 International #4, F (I'm guessing) nib, with Robert Oster Tokyo Blue Denim (which I suspect is too dry an ink for that pen); and the Shrek 'Puss in Boots' Parker Vector, M nib, with Noodler's Tokyo Gift LE.

The Marlen is what I thought was a Biro.  I recognised the Carandache as a mechanical pencil by its shape and top.  I also recognise the Multimax highlighter as well.  They are all good purposeful choice.
