Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Seems to be a good match! I'm glad to see that.

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

out in the countryside for a few days to enjoy a local holiday, doing some gardening, mostly cleaning up the undergrowth and freeing the mind from work...

had to choose quickly what to bring along (the wife will not wait too long...) so besides the already full M250, a further trusty M200 steel M is just fine :)

Snow? Really? What part of Italy is this? We had (light) snow forecast for this past weekend, I think, but it never materialized. Just rain...

North Italy, south of Pavia in the Appennines, somewhat half way down from Milano to Genova.

Altitude is almost 700m so it is high hills not quite mountains, but it does get cold in the winter, 2°C at the moment.

thanks Doug, it is an interesting area, as it's not densely populated so it's still possible to find (in a small size and densely populated country like Italy) some small villages and nice unspoiled woods.
