Happy Friday All!

A couple pens for today.

Inks I am using are Rohrer & Klinger Salix and a Blue Black ink cannot recall the brand.

Pen in use today is this Delta Parthenope Old Napoli brown marbled

the pens has a short body and the finial is threaded so the cap can be screwed on when posted

the cap is very light and the pen's balance is not affected

the nib is a Delta Millennium 18k B (the pen was made in the year 2000)

Size is similar to an Aurora Optima, just slightly shorter when uncapped and somewhat fatter...

Have been playing with my TWSBI Vac700R. Didn't want to like it was much as I do. Lol. The one small complaint is that my thumb touches where the body and threads meet. The JoWo fine nib is fantastic!

Today it's been the new Azure al-Star, M nib, with Sailor Manyo Kakitsubata (one of the ink samples I bought when ordering the pen).  And the silver color Pilot Metropolitan, M nib, with Sailor Souboku.

Esterbrook with a 2442 (stubby) nib, inked with Rohrer & Klingner Alt Goldgrun. The nib has a very small sweet spot, but when I get it right it's glassy smooth.

Platinum Izmo with broad nib & Platinum blue/back. I've been marking assignments all afternoon.

I find the blue black inks work well for marking as they show up enough whetehr the student has used blue or black ink.

I've got a short story to finish so I've picked up my Parker 51  (1950)- filled with MB's Leo Tolstoy Ink.

The Leo Tolstoy is also a nice blue/black ink.

The sac was a dehydrated mess, and I almost put it back in the box.  I am glad I cleaned it up and re-sac’d the pen.  I agree, the only way some one will get it is to pry it from my cold dead hands.  🙂
