My new Kilk Epigram with Eclat de Saphir

Oooh! Does that mean you got the blue one? I looked at these recently and thought they looked very nice indeed - and excellent value too.

This is not the only pen I'm using, or even the main one, but I put a black cartridge in this Pilot Petit1, the first time I've inked it in what must be several years.

No, I have the original colour as depicted in the initial photographs.  I generally use Eclat de Saphir as my 'test' ink.

Vintage Waterman Phileas -   B. Nib.  Ink:  Lamy Turmaline

Awesome!  I love the gold “cigar ring” on these.... waterman’s are killer “business” pens.  I only have an expert ballpoint so far (black/rhodium),  but I get compliments every time I hand to the boss when he’s fishing for his signature pen.  I’m military, so I can’t exactly run around with a crushed orange Pelikan m800....😜

I love your Poseidon, I own one in blue pearl/brown, but I like the colours on yours, I've seen this colour on some other pen that I am forgetting now...

I have the multi max (highlighter/pencil) in this resin.  I think it was originally used in the Sheaffer Balance.

Ah, yes, I think you're right, the Sheaffer Balance! very nice one.

Thanks for the compliment and history of the resin; I must admit  really like the pen. Each Bexley I've got is a great writer (now up to five). They all write without fault which is almost amazing to me!!

Today I'm been using a Namiki Chinkin Matsu (pine) to write review notes for a whole heap load of Emperors I'm working through. Definitely a Namiki intensive day, I think tomorrow I'll reach for a Waterman Expert just for variety.

The green-striped M300 with Musk Green and a PaperMate c/c with Take-sumi. Been doing sudokus with the PM but the Take dries pretty quick on the nib while thinking.

I'm using a Platinum Prefounte that I just received, along with the cartridge that it came with. It's a very nice pen 😎

Just received a Visconti Rembrandt in "Dark Forest".

Have yet to ink it, but it doesn't look or feel like anything very nice. Once I write with it, I might get a different feeling, but this looks like it is going to be relegated to a "visit to the hardware store" pen.

Well, I *was* using my M405 with Kana-cho until it ran out an hour ago. And I just filled it the other day.

It really warms my heart to see two posts in a row of Edison pens posted in this tread. Edisons are right up there with Pelikans as my favorite pens. They are impeccably manufactured, but in some ways the opposite of Pelikan (perhaps one of the reasons I like them--for their contrast). Edisons come in a huge variety of sizes, shapes, and colors/patterns, yet many Edison models also take design cues from classic pens.

cjr:

How do you like the draw-filler system? I talked with Brian Gray about the Draw Filler for a long time at a show in 2019 (he even demonstrated it to me, in detail), but I never bought one. I'd love to hear impressions of it. BTW, I love my Brockton: it balances well, is small in the pocket, yet large in the hand.

Doug C:

What do you like most about the Pearl model (clearly you like the model, based on the above picture)?

The Pearl strikes me as another Edison model that is on the short side, yet feels much bigger in the hand.
