Eversharp doric repair

I need some help restoring this pen I scored today for very cheap, I've wanted one for ages, trouble is I dont know how to restore it, I've repaired lots of pens, parker 51s, multiple lever fillers ect but never something with this plunger mechanism, it is stuck and wont come out, I'm not worried that the nib is missing the top adjustable plate as it will still work and I payed next to nothing for it. Where should I start?

Here's one Youtube video from Vanness Pen Shop from 2017 (probably hasn't changed since then). This is the only one on Youtube that I could find.

I had one that needed the plunger system repaired and I didn't attempt it myself, I sent it out. I'm glad I did, at that time I didn't even know to search for a video like this.

Thanks for that, it's a great help.

You have a little treasure there...send it to Syd Saperstein (he's a moderator on the W-E Forum and is running the current incarnation of the W-E company - what he doesn't know about these things is probably not worth knowing). Without the slider, that little nib is a paintbrush, so do think twice about restoring it.

@conradandhispens: What a beautiful pen! Any adjustable WE nib in working order would be quite sought after and hard to get. This looks like a fun restoration project for the plunger part. Will you try to do it yourself? Either way I think it’s worth getting it repaired (maybe less hopeful on the nib) for such a beauty. Good luck! Please keep us posted.
