I am guessing that the New Moon 3 is smaller than the PGS.

I just found an old photo I have comparing the Delike New Moon 3 (ninth pen from the left) and the Sailor Lecoule (eighth pen from the left) side by side:

I endeavour to be frank and truthful in what I write, show or otherwise present, when I relate my first-hand experiences that are not independently verifiable; and link to third-party content where I can, when I make a claim or refute a statement of fact in a thread. If there is something you can verify for yourself, I entreat you to do so, and judge for yourself what is right, correct, and valid. I may be wrong, and my position or say-so is no more authoritative and carries no more weight than anyone else's here.

Ergonomically, small pens work even in larger hands if the balance is right. The shape of the hand can be similar to holding a bigger pen, except one makes more contact with the distal parts of the hand.

As the photo referred to above shows, the Sailor Lecoule — and therefore the Sailor Professional Gear Slim, which is of the same size and shape — is smaller than the Delike New Moon 3.

I just inked up my new Sailor Professional Gear Slim Mini, and zOMG, that's a ‘Mini-Me’ of a pen. With the cap not posted, I can juuust write with it, but not unlike I was holding a long stick of chalk for writing on a blackboard. With the cap posted, however, it's sooo well-balanced and comfortable to use, certainly more so than the PGS; and while the cap ring is touching my hand when I write with the cap posted, it's in the ‘right’ place so that it doesn't bother me remotely as much as the cap on the PGS or PG does in a similar configuration. My version of the PGSM has threads just below the end finial for posting, for which I'm thankful; I hate the idea that I might have to either push hard enough to secure the cap such that I risk scuffing the finish of the barrel over the medium-to-long term, or if there's an inner cap that's doing the gripping, risk loosening it over time and compromise the cap seal's effectiveness against ink evaporation.

For US$91, I'm thus far very impressed with the Sailor PGSM, and am glad I bought two of them (one of which has already gone to my wife).

Thanks for that. I will look into it. Since writing those posts, I've given up on using the new moon 3 (un posted) because it's tiring to use for long sessions. I may try again though as the nib that I have in it is too good.
