Sailor Making Fountain Pens To Small Groups

I have seen sailor make special edition and custom made pens to many clubs and groups. Any thought of how does the process take place? Has anyone here requested from sailor something similar? What is the minimum number of pens required to order?

I vaguely remember seeing mention of that in a discussion thread on FPN some time in the past 12 months, and if I recall correctly, it was something like ten units minimum and starting from ¥20,000 (excl. tax) per unit for an entry-level c/c-filled pen with a 14K gold nib and simple PMMA resin body.

 

However, if you're thinking about a private/limited edition production run fitting specialty nibs in King Of Pen bodies — especially nibs that Sailor isn't even producing and selling these days, so please don't even mouth the words "King Eagle" — you can pretty much forget about it.
