Great review.  Shelf life is a concern for me as 2 of my 5+ bottles are 5 years old.  The last opened bottle and the one before both darkened in color after opening.  The bottle opened the longest developed precipitation...gunk in the corners at the bottom.  I decanted the ink and tossed the gunky portion.  The ink continued to perform well but I have since decanted small portions into an ink sample bottle using a pipette and then fill from the sample bottle.  So far, no precipitation.
